  • 1 mesh stainer
  • 1 small glass jar
  • 1 12 oz glass

Ingredients
  

For the honey lavender syrup

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

For one iced latte

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey lavender syrup
  • 2 shots espresso
  • Ice
  • ¼ cup whole milk or milk of choice
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions
 

Make the honey lavender syrup

  • Add the honey, water, and culinary lavender to a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer over medium low heat, stirring until the honey is completely dissolved.
  • Remove from the heat and let the lavender steep for about 30 minutes.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a glass jar. Let cool, then store in the refrigerator.

Make the iced honey lavender latte

  • Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of honey lavender syrup to a 12 ounce glass.
  • Pour in 2 freshly brewed shots of espresso and stir to combine.
  • Fill the glass with ice.
  • Froth the milk and heavy cream together until creamy and slightly foamy.
  • Pour the frothed milk over the espresso and ice.
  • Stir if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

• Start with 2 tablespoons of syrup and add more to taste. Lavender can get very strong very quickly.
• No espresso machine? Substitute about ½ cup of very strong brewed coffee.
